Mother Road H.O.G. Chapter 1061 Member
The Mother Road, Route 66, National Trails Highway, no matter what the name has been changed to, the road lives on. Oh, perhaps a little worn from age but the winding beauty lingers on. Bikers from around the world still come to ride the Mother Road to hear the thunder of their motorcycles echo through the desert as they ride the stretch that winds its way through Arizona.
The Mother Road H.O.G. Chapter 1061 is one group of Harley riders based in Kingman, AZ that are fortunate to have the Mother Road at their doorstep.
In 1926 the Mother Road was given the numerical designation Rte 66 & in 1928 The first Harley-Davidson two cam engine is made available to the public on the JD series motorcycles. The bike is capable of top speeds between 85 - 100 mph.
Makes me wonder if get your kicks on Rte 66 means....
